Magnesium chloride attributes to the general hardness (GH) in your water, and will directly contribute to the amount of body, mouthfeel, and complexity in your brewed coffee. When used in conjuction with sodium bicarbonate, magnesium chloride can result in a sweet and smooth brewed coffee or shot of espresso. Using the Lotus magnesium chloride solution emphasizes complexity and can bring out additional flavors in your coffee. One drop of the Lotus magnesium chloride concentrate is equal to 10 parts per million (PPM) in the Lotus 450mL mixing bottle. We recommend using distilled water or water that has undergone reverse osmosis treatment for the best results.
